Recently came across an article that’s quite interesting. The author believes the core mechanism of OpenClaw is fundamentally flawed.
OpenClaw has a well-known feature called Heartbeat.
As the name suggests, it makes the AI Agent wake up periodically to check for new tasks.

He argues there’s no heartbeat that only beats once every 30 minutes.
A human heart beats about once per second. Beating once every 30 minutes isn’t a heartbeat; it’s an alarm clock.
So the author open-sourced a project called Clawith, introducing innovation.
It’s an open-source Little Lobster Team Edition Multi-OpenClaw🦞 Collaboration Platform, providing each Agent with persistent identity, long-term memory, and an independent workspace.
Building on this, it introduces two key innovations for organizational scenarios: Aware Continuous Perception and Relationship Graph.
Among them, Aware is the innovation targeting OpenClaw’s Heartbeat.
