What will education become when AI knows more than teachers?
In traditional classrooms, the teacher lectures at the front, and dozens of students listen below.
If the pace is too fast, some can’t keep up.
If the pace is too slow, some get restless. One-size-fits-all, efficiency is a concern.
But what if every student had a dedicated, tireless, and personalized super teaching assistant?
It has vast knowledge reserves and can call upon various tools. It can generate interactive, curiosity-sparking personalized tutorials with one click.
This sounds a bit sci-fi, but a team has already made it happen.
And it’s open-source. It already has over a hundred thousand followers on X.

OpenMAIC is an open-source project from a Tsinghua team that enables AI to generate an entire interactive classroom for you.
It allows students to listen to AI teacher explanations in an online classroom and engage in discussions with agent classmates.
