These 6 Open Source GitHub Projects Have Just Emerged.

01
Run a Real iOS System on Mac
This project called vphone-cli just went open source and is already very popular.
This thing allows you to directly boot a virtual iPhone on a Mac. Note: it’s not a simulator, it’s the real iOS system.
This project has already gained 3000 Stars and became popular shortly after going open source.
It utilizes Apple’s native Virtualization framework to achieve virtualization.
It supports iOS 26, and it’s a fully functional version, not just a simulator for debugging apps.
You can connect via SSH to operate it, or use VNC remote desktop to view the interface.
It even supports DFU mode, meaning you can theoretically flash it.
However, the deployment barrier is a bit high; it requires disabling SIP and AMFI, and downloading IPSW firmware packages.
For iOS developers, this thing is simply a magic tool; no more need for a physical device for debugging and testing.

Open Source Figma Alternative
After Figma raised its prices, many people started looking for alternatives.
Recently, a project called open-pencil appeared on GitHub, positioning itself as an AI-native design editor, an open-source Figma alternative.
It already has over 1000 Stars and is growing quite fast.
Looking at the introduction, it’s a design tool specifically designed for the AI era, supporting multi-user collaboration, with an interface style quite similar to Figma.
Core features include vector editing, component systems, real-time collaboration—essential capabilities for design tools—and it’s completely open source and free.
For independent developers and small teams, there’s finally no need to pay Figma every month.
Although its feature completeness certainly can’t compare to Figma yet, it’s sufficient as a daily design tool.

A Certain Block Game Rewritten in C++
This project is named MinecraftConsoles, and its description is just one sentence: A certain block game.
Those who know, know.
It also just went open source not long ago and already has close to 2000+ Stars. It’s rewritten in C++, focusing on being lightweight and high-performance.
The Windows version supports LAN multiplayer.
According to the project description, it supports running on multiple platforms, including some gaming console platforms. Specific technical details won’t be elaborated here; interested parties can check the repository.
